Don't Despise The Day Of Small Beginnings

One of the companies I worked with needed new SharePoint Pages for a new Department that was growing in their company. Here is a few examples of what I built for them and the custom Requisitions App Form I made for them,

I created a homepage for the Engineering Department, with useful links on the side for easy access of important information, while being able to fold down any tabs not needed.

The menu used for this Web page at the top in blue is not out of the box SharePoint, but was done with a customized code and is editable through a Sharepoint list, so any user with permissions, can access and edit the menu as needed to remove or add new sites.

A banner was created for the site, along with images and charts to further explain the needed information. A section at the top right would have the Manager of the Page or organization, along with contact information, and their picture.

Along with this, I built another page for them. Like the other page, this one also has useful links, but since they only needed two it is done through a simple hyperlink setup. Below that is the area of a document where users can access needed documents for this department, or upload documents for shared collaboration. The page contains instructions for making Requisitions, using the CWPR tool that I customized for them.

The CWPR tool is a list where users could create requisitions to the company, following the creation of an item on the list, I made a workflow that would send emails to anyone from a specific SharePoint Group.

Along with this, I created a dynamic form app using PowerApps that would only show certain fields to certain users based on their email. In this way, only managers could access some fields on the form, while normal users could access other ones.

Here is a screenshot below of part of the form.

After this, I created is pictured below, this is a sub-site of Engineering, and at one point this page also contained a calendar where employees could set up meeting times and receive notifications. This required custom graphics for this page, including the TSAC Review Request and Status Icon. Then formatting the text I was given in a concise and easily readable way for the main body of the page.

This page has a comments section, using a list form that sends an email to certain people whenever someone leaves a comment and then displays the comments on the bottom of the page.
